Beginning of PZZ „KADRA”

Polish Trade Union Alliance „KADRA” (Porozumienie Związków Zawodowych „KADRA” - PZZ „KADRA”) was founded in 1991. Our organisation continues activities begun in 1989 by Trade Union Alliance of Mining Executives „KADRA” and Trade Union of Mining Supervisors. Trade unions „KADRA” were started in response to an urgent need for securing and defensing both social and individual interests of white-collar workers and staff managing production processes. It was very important to provide both legal and extra-legal professional advice and assistance for those employees.

General information

Our Organisation represents staff from several branches of industry:

• coal mining
• open pit mining of lignite
• oil and gas mining
• zink, lead and salt mining
• iron and steel industry (metallurgy)
• chemical industry
• mining supporting background
• municipal and services
• mining related research

 
Head office of PZZ „KADRA” is placed in Katowice in southern part of Poland – called Silesia, which is the most industrialized region of Poland. Our Organisation is a representative union organisation (confederation) at national level gathering trade unions „KADRA” operating in particularhave their own legal personality confirmed by seperate registration in National Court Register. companies at company level. All of our affiliate organisations have their own legal personality confirmed by seperate registration in National Court Register.

PZZ „KADRA” is a member, but also a founder of Forum of Trade Unions (FZZ Forum ) based in Bydgoszcz, Poland. Mentioned organisation is our representative in a social dialog at national level. Representatives of PZZ „KADRA” participate in:

• Regional Commissions of Social Dialog
• Regional Employment Councils

International Cooperation

Through years our organisation has developed collaboration with trade union organisations at international level. PZZ „KADRA” is a member of following organisations:

•  Confederation Europeenne Des Cadres - CEC
• European Mine, Chemical, Energy Workers Federation - EMCEF
• International Federation of Chemical, Energy and General Workers Unions - ICEM

Futhermore we are about to establish collaboration with European Federation of Executives in the Sector of Energy and Related Research (FECER ).
